Prepare
  • Get Ready: Set up your phone or another recording device.
  • Ask Permission: Always ask your teacher or tutor before recording.
Apply

  • During class, record the lesson only for your own study use.
  • Do not share your recordings with others.
  • On an iPhone, use the Voice Memos app.
  • On Android, use the Voice Recorder app or download one from the Play Store.
  • Record in short parts so it’s easier to listen later.
  • Name each file so you can find it quickly.
  • Listen to the recordings after class and take notes on key ideas.
  • If you use a tool like Otter.AI, you can read the text and highlight important points
