Prepare
  • Ask for Help: Find a peer to support you in tricky assignments
  • Set Goals: Tutor asks what the tutee wants to achieve.
  • Prepare Materials: Gather everything needed for the session.
Apply

During the Session:

  • Start Friendly: Greet each other and check what the tutee already knows.
  • Break Down Content: Start with basics and explain in small steps.
  • Discuss & Explain: Ask questions, let the tutee explain, and give clear answers.
  • Support & Encourage: Help with tough parts and praise effort.

After the Session:

  • Recap: Have the tutee summarize key points to check understanding.
  • Plan Next Steps: Decide homework or goals for the next session.
  • Schedule Next Meeting: Set a date for the next tutoring session.
