Eight years ago Bill presented a challenge for Scoutmaster Drew. “On every outing,” said Drew, “Bill arrived prepared with several pranks up his sleeve. Then he learned how to help others instead of tricking them, and he has become an amazing, soaring Eagle.”
That is how Scoutmaster Drew described seventeen-year-old Bill Block, who attained the rank of Eagle yesterday. Only eight percent of Scouts achieve this prestigious rank. It involves earning twenty-one merit badges and completing an approved community service project. Bill said, “One of my greatest delights is working with younger Scouts. Watching youngsters learn and mature is exciting.”
